The Pearson Center, part of the Scripps Research Institute, is a well-known research center for the study of alcoholism, addiction, and the brain. Established in 2003 in San Diego, California, The Pearson Center pairs the latest biomedical research with clinical treatments to fight the deadly disease of alcohol and drug addiction. Our main clinical studies focus on alcoholism and binge drinking. They are conducting another study with volunteers who are heavy drinkers.
